Bathroom facilities are not located in the dorm rooms. Campers should have a robe or cover up to walk to showers / bathrooms

Dorm is air conditioned; there are plug-ins for blow dryers and curling irons.

Shoes must tie for all dryland sessions

Food Allergies & Special Dietary Requests

If your skater has food restrictions and or allegories please contact Camp Director Barb Yackel as soon as possible to discuss options available. 2020 Camp menu will be shared with all prior to camp and plans must be developed before arriving at camp. Please understand in rare cases it may be necessary for your camper to provide his / her own food for the duration of the camp

Medications

All prescriptions and over the counter medications MUTS be turned in to Head Counselor at check in – no exceptions. Please type & include all medication instructions along with parents name and cell number.

NEW 2020 Cell Phone Policy

PLEASE DISCUSS WITH YOUR SKATER

Girl Power Hockey Camp will have a “semi no cell phone” policy at camp for 2020

  • Personal cell phone use will be available between the hours 7-9pm CST Cell phones will be locked and secured outside of listed times
  • Phone are handed in at check in on Sunday June 21, 2020
  • Phones are returned to skaters on Friday morning June 26, 2020
  • PHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN LOCKER ROOMS, DORMS ROOMS OR BATHROOMS AT ANY TIME
  • If immediate parent contact is required, counselors phones will be used. Parents will receive camp counseling staff phone numbers
  • Commuter campers MUST leave cells phones at home each day

NO OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES ALLOWED at Girl Power Hockey Camp ( ipads, computers. etc)

Will begin at 3:45pm at the dorm and will run 45mn to 1 hour.

WHAT ARE THE RULES

Camp Rules

Anyone using inappropriate language or behavior will be dismissed from camp without a refund. Parents will be notified and will be required to retrieve disruptive campers.

Damage to camp equipment will be assessed to the parent/guardians.

No smoking, use of alcoholic beverages or drugs will be allowed.

No skateboards, roller blades, or roller shoes in any building.

No running in buildings or jumping on furniture or beds.

The Arena Lodge is air conditioned; do not open windows.

Only camp, arena, and resort personnel are allowed in the kitchen.

After meals pick up your trays, cups and trash, take to the dirty dish area and follow the sign instructions.

Keep your rooms neat and tidy, hang wet towels on the hooks in your room, respect your roommates and their belongings.

Housekeeping will empty trash, vacuum, and clean the bathrooms daily. Any items that are found will be taken to the lodge office.

9:00 p.m. is wind down time, lights out at 9:30 p.m.

All campers must enter and exit the arena through the double glass doors in the front of the building. The small arena doors are emergency exits only.

Remember the buddy system. All campers must travel in two’s. Never go off anywhere alone, and always let your counselors know when you leave and where you are going.

Hockey gear will stay at arena for the week in designated locker room
